So one of my fashion-forward clients ordered a long "casual-cowgirl" sheik

necklace set for a wedding with these colors: cognac and pearls. So I gave her

amber-colored glass murano beads with foil inlay, cognac colored pearls and

faceted glass beads, beige dyed shell beads with an iridescent finish, white,

amber and champagne colored pearls, on a antique gold

chain. I made dangling matching earrings and a added pearls and crystal

rondelles to a bracelet set. Hope she has a great time!

Funky lipstick-industrial necklace

I know, I know. This is definitely different and not my usual style, but I

do make custom jewelry! A fashionista hair stylist immediately

requested a lipstick styled necklace. I thought it would be easy to find

some lipstick pendants, but turns out, no so. I found some cute

pendants and painted the tips with acrylic paint that was hand-

mixed. Then I coated the tips with high-gloss finish.

But, can you tell what they used to be?

Lemon and misty gray twisted necklace

My very fashion-forward friend girl requested a twisted lemon yellow

misty gray necklace. At first, I wondered what the two different colors

would look like together, but afterward, I can see why she has such

fashionable taste. I adore this necklace so much that I might have to

keep it myself! So what do you think about the color combination?

I'm very proud of this little piece. One time last year, I set up a small booth at the San Antonio Bead & Ornament Society annual meeting. I have my cute little pieces, but I'm sitting next to an extremely talented lady who MAKES HER OWN GLASS BLOWN BEADS!! I felt like an amateur although I have made and sold over 1500 necklace sets. So, I'm really trying my hand at hand-crafting my own jewelry. This resin bracelet was covered in a cute tissue paper design and adhered with several layers of Modge Podge. It now has a glossy coat and a smooth finish. I'm proud of this piece! Let me know what you think!

Shells and Pearls

Our recent trip to Bermuda inspired me to add some of those beachy bold and natural elements into my line. I searched for weeks to purchase large shell beads on-line and finally found some through Beads and Pieces. The creamy donut-shell beads are shipped from the Phillipines. I used ivory mother of pearl diamond shaped shell beads, milky white and gold pearls, polished brown wood beads and champagne colored faceted crystal rondelle beads.
I often use natural colors of flowers, trees and of the environment to inspire some of the color combinations I use in my jewelry.

Have you ever been inspired by your natural surroundings to create your own personal style and if so, how?

Inspired by my client's request for a chapel wedding jewelry piece with gold, champagne and ivory as her colors, she absolutely loved the necklace. This piece was made with two strands of round glass ivory colored pearls, gold-plated crystal rondelle spacers, and an iridiscent studded tear-drop pendant.

God bless you and your family and I'm sending it out soon. Love ya, girlie!

The large white donut shell beads were imported from the Philippines after several weeks of web browsing for the exact style. This white statement was special-ordered by a nice lady at Joint Base San Antonio (Ft. Sam) — in San Antonio.

My special friend, Miss Adriana, will be marrying in a few weeks. Congratulations! She deserves every bit of happiness in her life because she is such a sweet and intelligent soul. She asked for a custom necklace set to be designed around this gorgeous shoe. My thoughts are to mimic the style with a multi-strand antique pearl statement necklace with a blingy brooch to match her sophisticated heels. I will post the necklace soon.

One of San Antonio's many highlights is known as Fiesta, which has many events such as Oyster Bake, Flambeau Parade and Night in Ole San Antonio (NIOSA). The colors include shades of turquoise, red, orange, yellow and fuschia. Hope you like some of the new pieces!
