So one my good friends, Stephanie F., was looking around on Pinterest and she found some styles that called out to her and she asked me to create some styles similar to the ones she liked. I looked up the unique style and it is called "Coachella" or a kind of bohemian style where fashionistas have displayed their newest looks at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California. Stephanie has always been on the forefront of fashion and I have never seen her wearing anything that is not deemed to be chic, cute, or fashion-forward. I hope you like them!

I don't know why I was drawn to use this mixture of caramels, golds, swirly creamy polished Citrine beads, iridescent crystals, and gold accents. I thought about adding some browns, but I just wanted to keep it light. I fashioned the design from a necklace that I bought 10 years ago when I was stationed in Kuwait and was able to go downtown to Kuwait City and browse some market stores, thus developing my love for jewelry. Interesting that this memory is in the same tones as the desert...hmm. I almost don't want to part with it because it truly is a sparkling piece that will attract much attention and keep the classic look (for decades, apparently!). But for $34 (incl. matching earrings), this unique and one of a kind piece will be a beautiful match for a neutral wardrobe. I'm a little late, but I wanted to at least have a chance to show that we care about survivors of breast
cancer and that we stand behind you during your fight. Proceeds from sales of the designated bracelets and necklaces are donated to the American Cancer Society to fund the Fight Against Breast Cancer. We love you all and are praying for your recovery. One of my dear friends (and one of my best sales consultants) gathered a whole bunch of vintage jewelry she had collected over the years and asked me to re-make the jewelry into new pieces, but to keep the vintage flair. I love projects like these because I can truly be creative, but sometimes I do hope that I am creating pieces that my clients truly love because they have a vision for the sets and I hope to match their vision. I have already made more than 20 necklace sets, rings, and bracelets for her. I didn't realize that I had made that many until I counted them later and I'm still not finished! Just a note: I love re-making jewelry for my clients, so if you're interested in a new look for your old jewelry, please feel free ton contact me by e-mail: [email protected] This year, residents and visitors of San Antonio, TX, celebrate the 123rd year of Fiesta-San Antonio from April 10-27. Fiesta* started in 1891 to honor the heroes from the Battle of Alamo and the Battle of San Jacinto with over 100 events and showcases depicting all of the rich cultural history and multi-cultural heritage that make San Antonio one of my favorite cities. I love the diversity, the people, the friendliness, the atmosphere, and of course, the FOOD! The colors in this hand-made 12 coil memory wrap bracelet reflect the colors of Fiesta* which are fuchsia, turquoise, purple, gold, lime green, and orange. All of the bracelets I make are one-of-a-kind and made with high quality glass seed beads. The one pictured above is $16. If you are interested in purchasing one, I will gladly come out to your office to show you the newest styles. MasterCard and Visa are accepted via Square. Information on Fiesta* events can be found at www.Fiesta-SA.org and they can be found on Facebook and Twitter #FiestaSA One of my dearest clients got engaged this year and wanted to celebrate the news at a party with close friends and family. She requested an orange and brown long necklace to match her cute orange dress. I knew how much she loves matching sets, so I included a matching memory wire bracelet and some adorable hoop earrings. This set has murano glass beads, pearls, ceramic beads, crystal rondelles, hammered metal spacers and glass beads. One of the my best sales representatives that I have been blessed to know is TaLisa W. who is a down-to-earth, intelligent, independent Delta soro, "fashion-divanista" and a good friend. She doesn't know it yet, but she will be rocking this antique gold twisted chain necklace. I added three linked iridescent studded chains and linked creamy white pearls together along with crystal rondelle glass beads on a chain and wove them in between the braided chain. This was a time-consuming piece, but she is worth it for all of her help with selling wares for me. Thank you, TaLisa, for all of your hard work and effort. I appreciate your kindness and your time. So one of my fashion-forward clients ordered a long "casual-cowgirl" sheik necklace set for a wedding with these colors: cognac and pearls. So I gave her amber-colored glass murano beads with foil inlay, cognac colored pearls and faceted glass beads, beige dyed shell beads with an iridescent finish, white, amber and champagne colored pearls, on a antique gold chain. I made dangling matching earrings and a added pearls and crystal rondelles to a bracelet set. Hope she has a great time! |
